Seedbox Digital to Host Virtual Event on Social Media & Mental Health

Boston, Massachusetts – (September 15, 2020) To engage the community and create awareness of the effect social media has on one’s mental health, Seedbox Digital will host “’Like’ It or Not | Social Media & Mental Health” on Thursday, September 24th. The event will focus on the normalization of the technology industry’s implementation of exploitative and obsessive features within their services and business model. As well, critique their ethicality regarding the spread of fake news and the effects these characteristics have on the consumer’s mental health. Featured Speakers, Lujuana Milton, MSA, LICSW, and Babita Spinelli, LP, will bring light to the corrective measures being utilized to combat these issues.

September 24th Speakers:

Lujuana Milton, MSA, LICSW: 12 years clinical professional of South Shore Child and Family Counseling / Specializes in addressing issues of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, opposition, defiance, and trauma / 2014 Community Partner of the Year Award recipient for Norfolk Country Juvenile Court / Graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Social Work (MSW).

Babita Spinelli: Licensed Psychoanalyst and Psychotherapist of Open the Doors Psychotherapy / Specializes in couples counseling, divorce counseling, narcissistic abuse support, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and individual therapy / Utilizes treatment modalities, including EMDR, psychoanalytic therapy, mindfulness practices, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
